Onion Soup Recipe to Help with Thrush

A customer from The Netherlands recently shared with us a recipe that is very common in her country, as a little boost for the treatment of Thrush / Oral Thrush that baby’s can experience.  This recipe is for a breastfeeding mum to drink.  It’s just like onion soup, so don’t let the ingredient list put you off.

If you’re plagued by recurring yeast infections and enjoy the taste of garlic and onions, here’s a tasty soup that might help.

Ingredients:

Ground cloves
2 onions, finely chopped
Salt
4 cloves garlic, minced
Ground black pepper
Sage
Acidophilus yogurt
Thyme

Place the water, garlic, and onions in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. Season to taste with sage, thyme, cloves, salt, and pepper, but use the spices sparingly. Top each serving with a dollop of yogurt.
