The Postpartum Season: Honest Conversations About Life After Birth with Laura

Motherhood is a journey that deserves support long after birth. We’re excited to introduce The Postpartum Season, a podcast created by our friend Laura Taneja, who shares our passion for helping mums feel supported, informed and less alone.

Because support shouldn’t stop after birth

There is so much preparation for pregnancy and birth, but what about everything that comes afterwards?

The Postpartum Season is a podcast dedicated to sharing honest, meaningful conversations about life after having a baby. Through the real and varied experiences of motherhood, the podcast aims to help women feel less alone, more informed, and better supported as they navigate their own postpartum season.

Launched in April 2026, The Postpartum Season was created by Laura Taneja, an Australian mum living in New Zealand, with a background in medicine and a passion for improving the support available to women during early motherhood.

After becoming a mother herself, Laura recognised the enormous gap between the preparation surrounding pregnancy and birth and the realities of postpartum life.

While motherhood can bring immense joy and love, it can also be an incredibly challenging transition. From feeding difficulties and sleep deprivation to physical recovery, mental health challenges, relationship changes and shifts in identity, there is so much that women are often navigating without enough preparation or support.

The Postpartum Season was created to help change that.

Each week, Laura sits down with a different mother to hear her story. These conversations explore the beautiful, messy, challenging and transformative realities of life after birth, recognising that no two postpartum experiences are the same.

Some guests share stories of joyful and empowering transitions into motherhood, while others speak openly about experiences such as birth trauma, feeding challenges, postnatal anxiety, grief and the difficulties of finding their feet in a new identity.

Alongside these personal stories, The Postpartum Season also features bonus episodes exploring broader issues affecting parents and families, and an annual Educational Series featuring conversations with experienced health professionals and experts.

The 2026 Educational Series covers topics including infant feeding, baby sleep, maternal mental health, returning to work and the transition into motherhood, with the aim of helping women feel more informed and supported throughout pregnancy and postpartum.

Whether you’re preparing to welcome your first baby, navigating the newborn months, returning to work, or reflecting on your own experience of motherhood, there is something for you in The Postpartum Season.

Because while every mother’s journey is different, there is so much comfort to be found in hearing someone else’s story and recognising a little of your own.
