We have an amazing range of breastfeeding pillows available here at Breastmates. The sample photographs above show our customer Alice and baby Jackson, using the three types of pillows. (Of course we have multiple colour/pattern options for these!!)
The Breastfeeding pillows come in three choices:
- standard U shape with bean-filling which wraps around mum’s body – you can remove beans from the internal pillowcase to create the perfect height to suit your torso.
- Koru shape with acrylic filling which embraces around you and can be pulled around for different feeding positions;
- and finally the portable nursing sleeves which are more compact and you can take them anywhere.
Here’s some Behind The Scenes photography from the production of our Breastfeeding Pillows. These are handmade in New Zealand for our Breastmates website by Steph of Babybaby.
Steph from Babybaby, is a qualified graphic designer and a completely self taught screen printer. Many of the fabric choices that you can choose on our website are actually Steph’s own designs – which she then screen prints by hand onto the fabrics. Steph started out screen printing fabric with hand-made frames in her dining room, learning to make silk screens and dealing with the learning curve that came with that. These days she has a purpose built printing space and workroom, and is always coming up with new concepts to help make breastfeeding a little bit easier for mums. Steph says “I absolutely love designing and printing my own fabric, and I think it makes the BABYBABY products so much more unique! I’m really looking forward to sharing my creative journey and helping mums with our pillows…”
