I’m looking for advice regarding which breastpump you would recommend.
Baby is currently 5 1/2 weeks old and exclusively breastfed. I am a nursing student and will be going on placement for 40hrs a week for three weeks, other than that I am home most of the time, but will also be using the pump next year when I am studying full time. Placements can be a reasonable drive away and are pretty tight schedule wise so I will need something efficient and quite transportable.
I honestly don’t know where to start there are so many choices 🙂
Wow good for you doing all this – what a legend.
When I was reading this, I was definitely thinking a double pump to speed up the time, and based on the driving time etc, I really think the Freemie breast pump would suit you and this situation. This breast pump sits inside your bra (under your clothes so can’t be seen, which is different to all the other pumps on the market) which means that you could do it while you are driving, which will really help with your efficiency!
It is really small (about the size of a cream cheese container) and really quiet. And compact enough to put in a big handbag and carry with you to lectures.

Another option is the Unimom Minuet double pump, or the Medela Swing maxi – both of these are small and efficient – but these ones aren’t so discrete with use and you have to have your tshirt up and the breastshields in place.
